Health and safety, shoring: emergency response

In cases where security is compromised by the precariousness of a structure or if security elements, such as a lifeline or anchor point, are required to do a job, EMS engineers can provide its customers with support tailored to their needs, depending on their role and involvement in the events. Thus, EMS will specifically address the needs of the owner, the builder, the various insurers or any other involved party with the following services:

  • Evaluate the precariousness of the structure and the risk of worsening or successive collapses;
  • Secure the area;
  • Analyse the compliance of the structure;
  • Determine damage prior to the disaster;
  • Technical analysis under different codes that may be applicable and production of reports for legal purpose;
  • Analyse the capacity of anchor points, lifelines, lifting equipment, temporary or permanent stairs or ladders, etc.;
  • Identify repair or reconstruction solutions;
  • Estimate the cost.
