New Biomass Boiler - Sanimax - Lévis

First boiler of electricity power generation in Canada fed with waste and scrap animals collected in the Quebec City area.

This project executed in 2011 and 2012 add a new building of 400 square meters, equivalent to four storeys in high (20 meters), including walkways and work platforms. The building is located in an area of weak bearing capacity as well as having a potential for liquefaction during earthquakes. Piles of steel were required for both the building and equipment. A raft with integrated floor drainage iand equipment bases  is also present. Special treatment was applied to the structural steel, platforms, gateways and supports for the piping to prevent corrosion of the structures.
