Wind Turbines Steel Foundation

Mandated by PGE Energy (now Endurance Wind Power) of Saint-Jean-Port-Joli, EMS has developed a model of steel foundation to enable the erection of wind Turbine in remote areas. The foundations have been designed by EMS in accordance with relevant codes internationals in the matter:

  • International standard – IEC 61400-1 – Wind Turbines Safety and Design
  • International standard – IEC 61400-2 – Small Wind Turbine Safety
  • Guideline for the certification of wind turbines – Germanischer Lloyd – WindEnergie GmbH
  • Guidelines for design of Wind turbines – Det Norske Veritas Copenhagen – Wind Energy Department, Riso National Laboratory

The foundations have been successfully used on two sites in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario.
