With a focus on optimization and regulatory compliance, the City of Forestville carried out a complete modernization of its drinking water and wastewater facilities. The intervention covered the entire treatment cycle — from raw water intake to the wastewater treatment plant — to enhance the operational performance and resilience of the infrastructure.
The mandate entrusted to EMS included upgrading the chlorination system, rebuilding the pumping systems, adding an emergency generator, and modernizing telemetry and control systems. The UV disinfection process was redesigned, and the monitoring of disinfection operations was fully updated.
A true multidisciplinary effort, this project brought together expertise in process mechanics, structural and civil engineering, electrical systems, and instrumentation and control. The work was carefully planned to ensure uninterrupted municipal services through precise sequencing and close coordination between all teams.
